A recent incident involving a gun and a lengthy standoff with SWAT and LAPD officers, Chris Brown has finally surrendered and is now in police custody.
The singer left his home with cops after an issue involving Miss California 2016, Baylee Curran. She alleged on TMZ Live that Brown threatened her with a gun to her head, following her and asking about touching a piece of jewelry in his home.
Curran stated that she was admiring a diamond cross necklace, but never touched the jewelry when another man nudged her in the shoulder and warned her to step away. Once she inquired about the jewelry, Chris Brown and his friends were furious and told her to “get the f*ck out” of Brown’s home.
Curran, then left the house in a hurry, called the police to tell them she was threatened with a gun and they soon arrived at Brown’s residence later that night. This resulted in a team of police camping outside of Brown’s California home for hours on end until he negotiated out of the house.
Brown claimed, in a series of videos, including those seen on his Instagram account that he was asleep and innocent of any and all accusations being rallied against him. However, TMZ reported that the 27-year-old artist also shouted ‘come and get me’ and allegedly threw a bag containing drugs, a gun and other weapons out the window as officers surrounded the property.
Brown accused the police of over-reacting and said, “I’m way too tired to be dealing with this bulls***, Every three months you come up with something. What’s gonna be next? At the same time when I call the police for stalker people that are endangering my life, they don’t come ’til the next day. Let somebody make a f***ed up allegation about me, and ‘oh yeah the whole f***ing swat team.”
Police are also reported to have been called to Brown’s property at least five times this year, in response to complaints of disturbance of the peace
. As far as this issue, Brown’s car remains impounded and the police are continuing to search his California mansion.
