Heidi Fleiss “aka” the Hollywood Madam, was arrested near her Nevada home in Pahrump. The Nye County sheriff’s deputies pulled Fleiss over around 3:30 a.m. on State Route 160 for having a suspended registration, and an invalid license, Sheriff Tony DeMeo said. During the traffic stop police recovered about four ounces of marijuana in her car, which is a felony offense in Nevada. Additionally, Fleiss failed multiple field sobriety tests, and was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance, which is a felony as well. She was also charged with DUI misdemeanor among other minor traffic violations.

Unfortunately for Fleiss this is not her first run in with the Nye County Sheriff’s office. Recently, Nye County officials located almost 400 marijuana plants inside her Pahrump home. But she was not arrested, because “she owns $200,000 worth of exotic birds that the county was not equipped to care for. They also said her cooperation with the department weighed in her favor.”

With this latest arrest it seems that Fleiss’ luck streak with the Nye County sheriff’s office is coming to an end. After escaping what could have been a marijuana trafficking charge for possessing over 400 marijuana plants, which included mandatory prison if convicted, she has continued to find herself in presence law enforcement. Although, a DUI misdemeanor and felony drug possession are serious charges, her real concern should be if Nye County prosecutor’s change their mind and decide to file felony charges on her for the possession of over 400 plants. The statute of limitations for most felony offenses in Nevada are three years, which means Fleiss could still be charged if prosecutors decide to go forward.
